The Falcons are 1-5 against the Saints over the past five games. Additionally, they last swept the Saints in 2016, which was their Super Bowl season. They also swept the Saints in 2014. Otherwise, the only other sweeps over the past 23 years took place in 2002 and 2005. The Falcons have a chance to sweep the Saints only because they compete with them. Consequently, the Falcons lost both games last season by a combined four points. It is possible.
For the inside story on the 7 players banned from the NFL, listen below:
The Falcons scored a touchdown in every game last season except for a 17-9 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Now, they hope to get back on track this season and score a touchdown in every game.
There will be some challenges on the schedule. First, the Green Bay Packers will pose issues. The Washington Commanders and New York Jets may also be tough to score on. Furthermore, the Bucs struggled to put points against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last season in the first game. There is also a chance of a defense shutting them down. However, the Falcons have too many playmakers to not score this season.
Speaking of playmakers, London is a guy to watch. But his first three seasons have seen some inconsistent numbers. First, he had 39 catches for 567 yards and five touchdowns in 2019. London caught 33 passes for 502 yards and three scores in 2020. Likewise, he had 88 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns. But he regressed to 72 catches for 866 yards and four touchdowns last season.
Can London connect with Ridder? It is the main question Falcons fans have. Moreover, London must develop chemistry with the young quarterback to have a chance. But having Bijan Robinson in the lineup also relieves some pressure off London. Ultimately, defenses will worry about the run, and it will open things up for London.
They have not reached the NFC Championship Game since 2016. Regardless, it is possible. But they need everything to go right for it to happen. Additionally, the defense must step up and play at an elite level.

Ridder had 708 yards and two touchdowns in limited action last season. However, he passed for 3,334 yards and 30 touchdowns with eight interceptions in his last season in college. But it was a rare feat for him, as he had not thrown for more than 20 touchdowns in any of his other three seasons. Ridder can pass. However, his real strength lies in his running abilities.
Ridder was a hero in college for his ability to run. Amazingly, he scored at least five touchdowns in each season when he was in school. He rushed for 110 times for 365 yards and six touchdowns in his final year in college. Moreover, he rushed 98 times for 592 yards and 12 touchdowns. Ridder is dangerous on the ground. Therefore, he could easily snipe five scores on the ground.
Robinson is the best running back prospect since Saquon Barkley. Now, there are significant expectations. But let's look at how Barkley did in his first season. Significantly, he rushed for 11 touchdowns. It is the most he has scored in a season. Additionally, even Ezekiel Elliot barely cracked 15 touchdowns one time. Can Robinson do it? The only reason the oddsmakers have this bet here is due to the fact that the Falcons are a heavy rushing team. Still, 15 touchdowns is a lot to ask for.
The Falcons are a team that can either win 11 games or lose 11. Moreover, many of these bets could go either way. The only bet I have complete confidence in is Ridder rushing for five touchdowns.
